About the NYSSFF
The New York Short-Short Film Festival (NYSSFF) is pleased to announce The First Annual New York Short-Short Film Festival . The inaugural event will be held Saturday, May 20 th , 2006 at the Anthology Film Archives at 32 Second Avenue in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The film festival is designed around empowering new and emerging filmmakers in the New York area by showcasing “short-shorts” - films of five minutes or less in length. NYSSFF is also committed to educating and nurturing filmmakers through it's Educational Program, starting with a panel discussions on video and audio techniques during the festival.
“New and emerging filmmakers deserve a chance to be recognized for their achievements and triumphs, and the New York Short-Short Film Festival fills that gap,” said Philip Armand, Executive Director of NYSSFF. “We are dedicated to bringing acknowledgment and community to filmmakers, as well as celebrating the independent spirit of New York.”
